New fuel tank. Questions on the fuel sender
So I have a new Danske fuel tank and purchased a new cork fuel sender gasket. Do I need to RTF the new gasket or prep the mating surface on the new tank in any way?

I would not. it'll just be messy if you've ever got to pull the sender again. like junk falling into the tank messy. pulled a few over the years that had never been apart and only the cork was in place. I flipped it over like any crush washer I encounter and reused them. if the factory trusted the wine cork we should too.
the senior advisors will probably provide torque specs in 3-2-1,,,,,,

Shouldn't the tank have studs, with the sender fastened with nuts?
Or did later years have threaded holes and bolts? Mark

My 87 has studs with nuts and washers. I checked the PET and it does not list the studs as a separate item so they should be part of the tank.
