Thanks Wayne!

Porsche911NYC The button appears after posting a reply... Did you see it?

Porsche911NYC 03-16-2003 02:51 PM

Bob,

I noticed something but it appears so very quickly before bringing you back to the topic; am unable to read it and I'm a pretty fast reader. Wonder if my DSL is too fast?

Rustbucket 03-16-2003 03:55 PM

testing...one ...two ...one ... two..

Hey, you're right, NYCity.

It's very quick on DSL. Don't really get a chance to hit it.

Then you have to go to the bottom of the page and hit "go" to get back anyway.
Wasn't that the original point?
Not having to hit your "back" button or the "go" button?

Wayne?

Huh?

Wayne 962 03-17-2003 10:25 AM

I can't put the button on the page that shows your thread, otherwise it would show up on all the pages. Just hit the button when you are done posting. It's on a 2 second delay for everyone - regardless if you have dialup or DSL...

I agree...too fast, I guess it's time to work on my reaction time! Ha Ha

RickM 03-17-2003 10:38 AM

I found it too fast as well.

Another thing....Could you change the Email Notification option for "Quick Reply" to an Opt-In model and opposed to Opt-Out. I'm getting tons of Email because I'm conditioned to "Submit Reply" so quickly. :-)

Thanks!

masraum 03-17-2003 11:59 AM

You have to be expecting it and move quickly. Even then it is easy to miss.

Wayne 962 03-17-2003 12:11 PM

The Email Notification is set according to your default profile in your control panel - you can turn it on or off from there.

RickM 03-17-2003 12:21 PM

Thanks Wayne...will adjust it now.

Also, you never got back to me on the 908 engine...is there still interest?

Rick

Wayne 962 03-17-2003 12:23 PM

Email is no longer a really good tool for communication, as I easily get overloaded. Which 908 engine were you talking about again?

Sorry to sway the topic on this thread....The 908 engine that your friend is looking for. I believe you have a "sticky" on it at the top of this forum.

I may have a lead and was curious if he was looking for a 908/2 or 908/3 engine.

Rick
