Friend found dozens of acorns inside his frunk.

and shredded newspaper...

"Chewed up paper in smugglers box too. Can't reach. Ugh. The smuggler box was concerning but just paper. How they got in there?? I had trickle charger sure but can't see acorns fitting through. Going to leave ammonia in there."

Anything he should watch out for ?

Thereís a hole to the outside under the evaporator case in the smugglers box. You can clean under the evaporator coil through the hole in the passenger footwell.

The steering shaft and A/C hoses to the evaporator have a good open space for the rodents to enter.

Like porsche930dude says check under the shifter and the back of the tunnel at the shift coupler.

Borrow a borescope and check the tops of the cylinders by extending the scope through the fan.

Sprinkling lots of ground pepper will keep them away when storing.
