987 Frunk demon lockout

Hi
I am stuck.
Frunk does not open with either key fob or interior switch activation. Rear trunk works with ether. Battery is fine, car starts and runs. I can hear the actuator cycle with either key fob or interior switch activation.
Tried to raise Frunk with large suction cups while cycling - no joy. Tried pushing down - no joy.
Seems like there should be a spring pushing up on the lid but it lays flat. Seems like the manual opener is not a good option.
Opinions, thoughts?
Thank you all, Howard

Have subsequently pulled emergency cable. Came out 18 inches. Not connected internally. A
What is best way in, hood or bumper, or?

Hg

You should try posting on the Boxter/Caymen forum for help on this. Also, do a search there and see what comes up.

There is supposed to be a spring that pushes up the lid. Also surprised on the emergency release not being connected.

Thanks for your reply. I did remove the driver side front wheel and removed the wheel well liner. Then pulled on the emergency release. There was not much resistance. It came out about 18” as well as a rubber gourmet. There is a small part hanging up on the inside.

Solenoid is being activated normally.
