The glass portion of my psgr Aero style mirror is not "tight" and after any sprited driving the mirror position will have moved from vibrations/bumps. I took it apart and cant for my life see any way to make the glass mounting any snugger

You have the notched ring all the way over ?
If nothings broken back there that’s the only thing I can think of . 4 clicks to remove glass , and 4 to lock it in iirc . Will check after work if you like ? |

Yes, I tried that, even took the mirror apart to see what creates the friction point but had no luck there. sigh

My drivers side is apart at the moment if I can help with photos??
Unfortunately even a low speed drive is out of the question right now , but I do have an old glass removed from car and a new genuine one in box ready to install so can take pics to compare with what I have . I’ve had 2 mirror glasses mysteriously fall off Porsche’s in the past two months or so. Adhesive failure holding glass to backing. Saw the boxster glass peel itself loose in slow motion as I shut the door and managed to catch it then super glue it back on , 964 no such luck .... It was there , then it wasn’t . I can look , but think it was $150 for a new heated glass . |

If the mirrors are manual, a metal ring puts pressure on the pivot ball -
![]() If the mirrors are power - ![]() I think you have to get a motor assembly. I took one of the motor assemblies apart several years ago, and it seems that there is a ty-rap looking rack inside that fails. Mike
