911SC rear badge help.

Could someone with a wingless SC engine lid help me out?

The 911SC badge on my rear lid is all the way at the bottom from a tail that was once there. This weekend I am having it repainted and would like to correctly place the badge where it's supposed to be.

Could someone kindly take a couple quick measurements on how far down from the grill this badge is supposed to be?
Even better would be the measurement from the drilled holes themselves but I will take whatever I can get.

It would be much appreciated.
Thanks Vinny

Cool 911SC emblem.....

I have the same problem on my SC. I am going to use this picture and space the emblem down about 2 time the height of the "911"
part of the emblem from the vent edge. That shoud be very close to being correct. I am going to put down a wide piece of tape to measure and mark the locations of the retaining pin holes and make a cardboard template to actually mark the hole locations. Just make certain to keep the emblem parallel with the vent opening and centered on the engine lid. You can drill the holes slightly oversize to allow for some final adjustments. Good luck!

Thank you for doing that. Those pics are exactly what I was hoping for.

Fred

I'll do the same as you with the tape and cardboard. Thanks!
