A Newbie with questions 'bout Door Stops
Hello All:
I am the extremely happy owner of a '90 C2 Cab. I have had it for about a week and a half and put on about 1,000 miles already....easy enough to do in So. Cal.!!! I started it with 101,500 mi. on it, but it has only 21k mi. on the last valve job and about 5k mi. on the last clutch swap (I have all of the receipts). Anyway, enough w/introductions... I could dream about it all day!!!! The driver side door stop has completely torn the metal on the door and is floating about inside the door (it is still attached by the pin, but is useless). I was sure that I saw on the Net a procedure complete with pictures for replacing the door stop, but I can't remember where!!! Soooo... 1. Does anyone know about this and can you forward it too me?, 2. If removing the Pin is so easy, what am I doing wrong? (It won't budge and yes I removed the clip.), and 3. Can I use the reinforcement kit for this model or is that only for the '74 - '89? Thank you, Darin |
