it is a kit we used to install in the 1980`s and 90`s..Very inexpensive way to have a short shift and works well

I'm pretty sure that is exactly what is in my car. I can give feedback if/when I ever get the engine/trans back in it.
|
I have it in my 914-6 and it works fine.

Any Idea on price? I have a Rennshift. I don't need it.

I don't think you will be able to retire on what you get for this. There are a couple of problems with these kits. The first is that eventually the epoxy you use to hold the new ball piece on will fail. More importantly, while this reduces the fore and aft movement of the shift lever (which is what you want), it also reduces the side to side movement. You don't want that - having the side to side distance of the shift planes closer means it is a lot easier to get the wrong gear.
But someone will probably pay a few bucks. The best short shifter for the money is the factory one, which changes the side to side pivot axis so your hand still goes where it is used to going, just not as far forward or backward. |
I had that kit on my stock shifter. My mechanic hated installing it because of the center console removal. Other than that it worked great and was 40 bucks! Now I have a RENNSHIFTER.

Thanks for all the info guys. I will post it in the FS section.
