Ashtray ... help
My ashtray was screwed shut by the previous owner. And not very well. Its been bugging me so I took it apart. The car is an '85. There does not seem to be any insert or nor can I figure how it is supposed to be attached. The ashtray is still there but it was just screwed to a side plate.
Any ideas? Pics? I have searched high and low on the 'net. Aside from going to a local shop that I don't use to ask for help I am stuck, at least for now. Thanks Chris |

They probably lost the piece that the ashtray slides into.

The ashtray does not slide in and out, it just pivots down on this clip.
