Front end leak?
There’s a small leak coming from what looks like the right side edge of the gas tank on my 69’ 911. I took the steering rack protection plate off and snapped a picture. It leaves a few drops on the ground. I checked all the brake lines and master cylinder which are all good. It doesn’t smell of gas? Any ideas?
Could this be from the gas tank vent line which feeds into a little hole on the back right hand side? (if you sit in the car) Leak location: ![]() Vent line I’m referring too: ![]() Little hole it goes into: ![]() Should I be worried? I’m I going to die? Cheers! -Kav. If it doesn't smell like gas then it's probably not the tank vent line. The only other thing up there is the brake fluid. Did you check the brake reservoir lines? If leaking high up on those lines it could be traveling across to the left side of tank. Just a thought.
