Throttle Body Repairs, Swaps, Etc.
Hello. I am working on a 1986 930 that has a leaking throttle body shaft. I brought it to a local rebuilder, they said it couldn't be serviced because it has a bearing instead of a bushing on the shaft. I have also subsequently checked with MaxBore and Turbokraft and neither one of them can rebuild these. Does anyone know of a place that can rebuild these or is their a newer one that is easy to swap in place? Buying a used one is my last option since I would have no idea if it is good or not until it is in place and smoke tested.

There is a guy on 914 World, maybe he was on the Samba too, that can possibly rebuild it. He did the one on my '74 2.0 and it was awesome. Worth a try: pbeslins (at) msn.com
