Help with Carrera engine lid light
A while back, I had a local shop straighten a couple of dents and repaint my engine lid on my 86 Carrera. Looks great. But, I never bothered to reinstall the light. Now that I'm preparing to get the AC up and working again, I'm going to reinstall the light. Can anyone help me with how the wiring is supposed to run? Particularly, how the wiring is supposed to go around the drivers side hinge. Thanks!

Redcoupe, the wire, with the engine cover open and up, comes up towards the latch then across to the left and then down to the hole in the cover with a grommet. It goes thru the hole and attaches with 3 evenly spaced clips along the bottom of the hinge and then over and below and behind the fuel filter.
I can take a pic if you like.

Wow, thanks guys! So, when the wire goes across from the center of the lid to the left edge, is it held by clips on the inside framework?

Just had a 'feel' inside the lid support and the cable just sits loose in there, no more clamps, only the three clamps on the hinge (only 2 show on the photo) and one clamp near the light.
