California-specific question: 9.5:1 with EFI
 
Hey Pelicans,

Simple, straightforward (ish) question for you all.

Setting smog aside, is there any issue running a euro 3.0 SC motor with 9.5:1 JEs and a Megasquirt EFI on California’s anemic 91-octane pump gas?

I’d rather be safe than sorry ...

How are you going to pass smog with EFI on a CIS motor?

A good question. :)

The car will only be in CA temporarily and will be titled elsewhere.

My SC with a 9.5:1 3.2 short stroke CIS engine has no issues with California 91 octane.
