rsr rear shocks

i just installed 20" rsr shocks upside down with TRG's clevis mounts and 28 mm sanders tb's. i believe that the shocks are to short. i installed the spring plate with the trailing arm all the way down so i can get the highest ride hight and the fenders measure 23.5" and 24" and the front is pop up to 26". this is a problem. i did not have time to lower the front. if i lower the front will it level the back out? or any other info would be appreciated.

thanks

i forgot... maybe lower the spring plate beyond the trailing arm and then jack it up into position. however it would be a ***** to set the ride height. are the rear torsion bars deciated right or lefts?

wow.... i guess you cant talk abount female dogs on this board........

The RSR shocks are probably pretty short for a really low car but that is just a guess. As far as torsion bars go, yes, they are side specific and should be marked on the end. They are only made to be "sprung" one way so you don't want to lower the car without being sure.

thanks paul,

i knew the fronts were side specific however the 101 project book doesnt say the rears are side specific. and with the wife complaining its hard to take your time to make sure its right. if i stapled her mouth shut i could have save many hours of senseless mistakes.

The Sanders bars are not directional and are not marked. The factory bars are.

Alfizzo, Which RSR shocks are you using? I assume these are Bilstien? I just did my car in regard to alignment and shocks( I went with custom valved bilstiens and sander bars too) . I'll check all my numbers and report back.

Cheers, James

i think iam going to unbolt the shcok and lower the spring plate then jack up the trailing arm and bolt shock in to get the proper ride height.

sorry, i stand corrected. well, actually i'm sitting.
