1972 mfi fuel filter cold start valve

when took the fuel filter apart a few years ago and cleaned it...
When I re-assembled, i was not sure if the cold start valve had a seal, (either copper or aluminum). I installed an aluminum seal but the valve leaks through when de-energized (closed).
Is there a special thickness seal, i cannot locate it on the PET. If someone could take a look if you have it apart and let me know if there is a seal and if there is what size is it..
thanks

Seaing ring part#11 is N 013 849 2 is A 14 x18 but does not give a thickness, it appears to be used in other applications, but I could use the thickness measurement

I can have a look later and let you know. I buy sealing washers by size at Belmetric.com for odd applications (for instance, MFI injector seals) so you could try there. Double up on the 14mm ID one maybe.

Sorry for the delayed response on this - I looked at mine and it looks like it has two sealing rings stacked. Get two 14mm sealing rings and stack them and all should be fine.

Be sure the metal filter assembly is grounded or the cold start valve won't work. Test by jumping 12v from the fuse block. If it clicks, it works as is. If not, ground it.
