911 2.4 T ignition trouble
Hello all,
I need your help! Last sunday I have run my 911 2.4 T 1973 across the country for a beautiful moment! Sometimes during acceleration engine seems stop running. Engine has been completly restored one year ago It's like I'm turning off my engine. The car has 120 000 kilometers and still get his original Bosch ignitor (non restored). Do you think it's time to change or restore it. Do you think it's could be ignition vacuum can trouble??? Thank you for your comments |

This can be a hundred things,,,fuel or ignition. Is it a sudden or gradual shut down? How do you get it restarted, ? Does it restart or is it still dead? It is NOT the vacuum cannister

Engine was restored a year ago, but when was the last time the points, condenser, plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, fuel filter, filter screen in bottom of tank were serviced?
Is it MFI, CIS, or Carbs? Could be fuel or electrical issue but need more info to figure it out. How do the spark plugs look?

bad rev limiting rotor? Wrong timing? Points set correctly?
Also, low voltage on the battery will cause the ignition to cutout at higher rpm. This is due to reduced charge time on CDI and coil.
