Engine ID
Hi guys, I need some help identifying a 2.7 engine '76 or '77 vintage most likely. It is installed in a '70 911T that my friend just bought last night. He will be posting pics soon I hope.
The engine number is 6141313 (if I made all the numbers out right). Also, where is the engine type number located on the case? Thanks! |

My Porsche family tree says:
s/n 6140001-6146625 is a 1974 coupe engine. 143hp at 5700 rpm!!

The engine type number will be found stamped on a horizontal milled rib to the right of the fan housing support area.

Pass side. The studs go into the chain housing. .......
 IIRC, this is a 2.4T motor.
