911 SC sunroof doesn't close properly
I bought an 1978 911 SC with a sunroof and I can't make it to work properly.
Problem is - it doesn't close. It's super slow and sounds very pained. So I've put out anything, cleaned and greased anything, tried a different motor. Nothing has changed. The wires/cables look great, if the motor is not attached to the gear/transmission part it doesn't sound so pained, it spins fast and compared to my other car (where I got the spare motor from as a test motor) - sounds the same. The rubber thing looks good. Any idea what I could try? |
Hey Martin - check out the link below to a tech article from our site; it may give you some good info in helping you troubleshoot.

Have you tried closing it with the manual handle instead of the motor? It may highlight the problem

The black link between motor and trans may look good but has possibly failed.
