Do you use a steel wool pad to clean your Targa Bar?
Did a seach, couldnt find any info, or post about this. Since MY Targa Bar isnt painted, its stainless steel, do you use steel wool to keep up the shine?

You mean an ordinary Brillo or SOS pad ??? ABSOLUTELY, NOT!!! Particles of ordinary steel left behind can cause rust and staining of the stainless cover!
Stainless steel wool is available from Brookstone and other sources, but my preference is for ultrafine Scotchbrite ... maroon colored ... for stubborn stains.

No, just a rag and Mother's polish. Simichrome, Eagle, etc. should do the trick. Steel wool seems a bit too intrusive to me.

I use bronze wool on the stainless steel fittings on my sailboat with no problems, but for the targa bar I'd use the scotchbrite pads - less chance of even tiny abrasions.
