Still working on 3.2 bucking .

My 3.2 is running much better now I changed the idle control valve , 02 sensor, fuel injection relay , adjust the idle , been running gallons of 91 octane through it in case of bad gas. The thing is after starting the car until it is completely warmed up the car bucks and stutters and lets out some backfire pops. But !!!! After the car is hot it runs really well. I’m getting close but I still need to find out why it runs so bad while warming up. So please I need some more ideas. Most of the items on the engine are new , wires , plugs , injectors, sensors. Have not been able to return to shop yet because my Wife had a heart transplant on Good Friday !!! No time yet. Thanks , Nick.

Hi Nick, is there any way you could be able to make a video of the problem-or sound ..that would help a lot..
BTW what spark plugs are you using?
best wishes to your lady...

Ivan

Thanks Ivan. Wife is doing well. Yesterday went to heart rehab and walked a mile on machine!! I’ll try to post a video. Will be a bit hard because I’m driving. It’s weird how a car can run so well and then just change overnight!!! BTW , my engine is clean as can be.

911 obgyn, Yes , idle goes down when i remove the oil cap. Speeds right up when I replace. First thing I did was tighten up every hose possible. And then again ! I drove the car this morning with a long warmup and it drove great. Just started it up a bit ago and drove through the neighborhood and it popped and bucked until warmed up. Has all good stuff. The best wires new plugs , injectors. Temp head sensor. I checked my paperwork and do not see the brand of spark plugs but my shop is high end so must be good. Also new clutch! And flywheel. Lots of stuff replaced during top end. Does not leak any oil. Something weird happened . Aliens, maybe ?

Maybe cracked solder joints on the ECU under the driver's seat ?
I had a similar issue years ago.

Try removing the large vac line for the brake booster and plugging the engine-side fitting. Look inside the vacuum hose for signs of brake fluid.
I took apart the maddening trombone/venturi/vacuum line mess and there were gray paint flakes stuck inside. The paint came from either the steel vac line or the M/C. IIRC there is 11 hose clamps in about a foot and a half.
The vacuum hoses are no fun to check and there is a bonus hose located at the front end of the tunnel. The metal vac line comes through at the top front of the tunnel and transitions to a hose. It’s a joy to get at.
