Alternator /engine mystery wires

Dear colleagues, I was doing some routine cleaning and maintenance when I came across these two open wires. Not sure if I knocked them loose or they don't go to anything.
A plastic cover seems to house it but can see other half. Any chance someone would direct me ?

Amir,

Aside from a good picture, include the information about car’s model/year and alternator. Does it have an external or integrated voltage regulator? Without knowing these important information, you will probably be getting several misleading advises.
