Fuel injector installation - lube o-rings??
I’m having the injectors on my 3.2 Carrera refurbished. The injectors came off the fuel rails and out of the intake with some effort. I’m thinking that some type of lube on the new o-rings might be needed.
Am I right and if so, what is recommended?

This stuff is won't be dissolved by gasoline:

I have used this stuff on thousands of fuel and oil related lines on aircraft. Anti Seize has abrasive material and is petroleum based.

I used a smear of engine oil.
I figured if it went away, i wouldn't care because the injector is seated correctly.

That 1 lb can of anti-seize can be passed on to your grandkids and the next generation.
A tube of Dow 111 is good too. S |

I'll second Dow 111. Recommended to me years ago, was able to find a small tin of it for cheap.

I just did the injectors on my '74 and thought Hylomar, sold by Permatex as Permashield, #85420, was perfect. Fuel resistant and non-hardening, and you can remove the parts when ever you'd like....
Hylomar – This is a relatively new product in the a#ermarket but has been used by many OE manufacturers for almost 30 years. It is a polyester urethane-based gasket compound that withstands temperatures of up to 500 degrees without hardening. It’s non-setting and remains tacky, making repeated disassembly and re-assembly much easier for racing applications where constant adjustments under the hood are necessary. It can be used as a gasket sealer or in place of a gasket. Hylomar could very well be the adjustable wrench of gasket sealers, fit for any do-it- yourself or professional tool box. steve

I use this on all O-rings. It makes them last virtually forever.
