Is it possible to put 46ida carbs on a 2.0L?

Long story short, I’d like to use a spare set of 46ida carbs for the summer on my 2.0L stock engine. Is it possible to “choke” these things down enough to work correctly ...and if so what jetting (mains, airs, emulsion , idle jets, venturis, etc...) would I need?

Thanks!

Venturis are sized to the engine's needs so for a 2.0 911 "Normal" you would use 30mm main venturis & 125 main jets if you have F26 emulsion tubes. 55 idle jets may be too big since the idle air correction jets in 46s are very small so maybe 50 idle jets. 170 main air correction jets.

This should work adequately well.

Thanks Paul!

I didn’t see much on our sponsors site here for those particular parts, do you sell these ...or know where I can source the ones I don’t already have?

Thanks
Stacy

I refer parts buyers to Weber Carb Parts, PMO Carburetors and Parts, Porsche Posters, engine oil testing. They sell parts that PMO makes for Weber carbs. The main venturis for 46mm Webers & 40mm Webers are interchangeable with the exception that the grub screws for 46mm Webers are a little different but will work fine with the PMO venturis for Webers.
