Bodywork Recommendtion
I have a 1968 912 (purchased from EASY). It was a one owner car with a pink title and black plates and I am converting it into a 911 of sorts--more of an R clone. I've taken it apart and sent it to Kevin at Pacific Coast Powder Coating and had it blasted. He did a fine job and now that I have it back, I see he as uncovered what needs to be done.
I do not do bodywork and have zero interest in learning how to do it--but this car is in dire need of a left rear quarter panel replacement, among other smaller things. I am asking if anyone has a recommendation of someone who has experience with this repair preferably in the SF bay area. I found a video on youtube of someone doing a really nice job of it (JR Restomods - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wetkjC6-6I). There will be a lot of fiberglass bits to fit on the body as well, so happy to have the same somebody take on the lot. As a fun aside, the engine I am planning to build for this car is a 90 x 66 2.5L with dual coil over plug coils, injection, and will be run off a Pectel SQ6. I am designing my own pistons and should overall be an interesting thing. I have a completed 911R replica oil tank as well just waiting to be attached ala Brad Davis. Thanks in advance! |
