915 clutch pedal really hard on my '75 - pre helper spring
Good morning all. My clutch pedal is really hard lately. Harder to push than before. All gears engage fine and drives and clutch engages fine. I rebuilt the pedal box last year.
Inspecting the pedal box reveals nothing out of the ordinary, (the clevis pin is fine and the spring is fine) - the only thing is the clutch pedal is back about 1/4" more than the brake pedal. I recall it being even before. This is the early 915 with no helper spring. The clutch cable does a 90 degree turn at the arm and is adjusted with two nuts. I'm going to pop off the fork cover today and take a look. what else should I be looking for?

The thinner the clutch disc, the harder the pedal. The cable can deterioate internally too, and not slide easily in it's sheath.
