ESCO jack stands

Are 13 minimum night jack stands to high for jacking a 911?

I don't find that they're too high at all. I think they're a good size at the lowest pin hole to get the car up in the air for basic work like brakes and suspension. You don't need a jack with a lot of lift range to use these stands. My jack has a 20-something inch lift height and I have no problem lifting the car to get the ESCO stand underneath.

I like the rubber top post for the front of the car and the post with the curved saddle works great for the rear to support the car on the spring plate tube or the torsion bar housing inboard of the sway bar mounts

when I work under mine, i put it up about as high as I can. My stands go from 15.75" to 24.5" high and I usually use the 24.5" setting under the torsion bar covers.
i use these homemade jack adapters to lift the car. (the one on top)
These allow me to get a little extra height with my jack. The jack just fits under the adapters when they are inserted into the receivers and the jack is all the way lowered.
You can actually lift all four wheels off the ground by using a jack on each side with the lift adapters. Its sketch though since it teeter todders back and forth.

Thanks Guys, I look forward to receiving my new Esco jack stands. Was concerned the car might be a bit wobbly with the stands on one side, jacked up to 18'. I ordered the round rubber tops, will order 2 axel stands. I was thinking of ordering them that way, and Pelican has the axel stand tops that I can order and switch out.
