Talking Grille Badges

I got my grille badge today!

I had to mod it a little to make it work with the C2 engine lid; I swapped the studs for longer ones and used nyloc nuts instead of plain ones. I also had to make 2 notches in the grille to get the badge to line up on top of one of the slats.

Good job Jim! I'm certain that you did a better and more cost effective job than I would have, since I would have had to farm out the entire operation.

Thom,

To make your 3.6 badge look more authentic than it already does, I would paint the base of it black, as per the factory-made 2.4 and 2.7 badges.

Jim certainly did a great job.

I got mine yesterday also. It's very nice looking.

Has anyone painted their's black yet -- and did it cover up the tool marks on the base?

Here is another thread on the same badges.

And those look great! I should put one on my tool box. Kind of like a goal reminder.
