installing short bellhouse 930 tranny into early SC

Title says it all...is there any unpleasent surprize involved?

Is short-bellhouse tranny weaker than typical 3.3L -tranny and what's the difference?

Thanx!

The mounting hole have to drill in adifferent spot, well my 930 was switch to a 915 and they had to drill holes the make it mount so it should be just the opposite with the going 930-915 , the short bellhousing box is just as strong as the 3.3 box, The tranny is great for huge hp , so you should ok

OK, it surely sounds good!

Engine mounting holes aren't our problem as this tranny is not going to be mated to porsche-engine so we have to make engine-to-transmission adapter anyway. It's just a question of where we are going to drill the holes

I bet it doesn't clear the torsion tube. but I could be wrong. How long is the tranny? If it is more than 23.75" it won't fit with out moving the motor back. At least that is what I found.
