Removing the gauges on '69 911

These gauges pull out with a good grip on the edge of the gauge...i've done this before, but i want to remove the fuel level and oil pressure and temp gauges for clean up. Any tips or trix here? do you access those feed lines from the gauge hole or from the frunk? thanx steve

69 should still have early style gauges that have brackets held by thumb nuts accessible from the trunk. Good luck, the clocks the toughest accessible from the speedo hole after speedo removal. A word to the wise, check all your bulbs, gauges etc, before final mounting.

That's right....now I recall that the '69E i owned 45 years ago had the screw in bracket...but got confused with my later cars, and the '74 Carrera I got and worked on last year. much appreciated. steve
