Stacking Wheel Spacers
I have 7" x 16" Fuchs all around on my S. I have used 6.5mm spacers on the rears for years, using the stock stud bolts. I have 2 more spacers which I would like to use in order to move each of the rear wheels out a further 6.5mm. According to Elephant I would need new 66mm studs if I have 13mm of spacer.
Provided I install the new 66mm studs, can I stack the 2 spacers on each wheel? I don't track the car so this is just for street driving.

Depends on if they are simple flat spacers, or if they are hub centric and have a lip for the wheel to center on. If they are flat they will be too thick for the wheel to center on the hub and you'll need to buy a set of hub centric spacers. So flat no, hub centric yes.

The aluminum spacers I've bought from eBay have been shockingly nice for practically zero dollars. I bought three different sizes from various vendors and all have been great. Something like this:
To better answer your question, I don't think you'd have an issue as long as you end up hubcentric as noted above, but like making a copy of a copy, the slight tolerances can add up, so it's not ideal if you can avoid it.

I wouldn't use a spacer (of any type) on a wheel for any reason..... The correct offset is the only way to go. That's my opinion and nothing more.

Thanks for the replies. They are what I expected. The current spacers are not hubcentric, so I think I'll stay with what I have for now, but I'm not ruling out Matt's suggestion.

For my 16"x7" rears, I used these 1" spacers. I don't have any rubbing and run around 2 deg neg camber.
These are hub centric and cost $65 shipped. Sourced from eBay. looks much beter imo: ![]()

Fwi. Porsche used spacers on all the 930's from the factory. Almost all older 911s are running spacers of some type and that includes track cars so I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with them if common sense rules are adhered to.
