So Easter was a little more expensive than usual....

Not everyday you find something like this, so I felt I needed to share my joy:

I had nothing to do in our Italian summerhouse this easter, so naturally I started searching....and found this baby in Milano, not too far away:

oh my!

Sold in Milano in 1969 as a 2.0T. Since gradually converted into a track prepared 2.2S. Has everything including the best short shift 901 transmission I have ever tried. The engine pulls like a train and is the masterpiece of "Pino" the 75 years old local mechanic and racer who maintained this car the last 35 years. Still has the original italian numberplates.

Car has updated full adjustable suspension, 7x15 front and 8x15 back, S brakes, S trim, 2.2S engine with approx 200hp, short shift 901 tranny and completely new interior,

It has raced Monza, Imola and Mugello on regular basis that last 30 years or so - but has remained a street car as well. Never damaged and rust free.

No nonsense, unpretentious and pure.

I was completely in love and just had to bring it home

So very unusual for me, this is....not a project?!?!?!

Fra-gee-lay! It's definitely a major Italian award!

So now you have 3 right?! You keeping them all?

I'm converting the Targa to full ignition to go with the ITB's as we speak. Interior is done by a pro now - and when it's done, I'm probably selling it......too many cars and too many projects.

I stil like it though. 900kg (2000lb) to 250hp - it's a lot of fun!

That targa would bring you more money and subjectively look much better with rsr matte style wheels. It is gorgeous! But the black wheels are just....not.
Seriously, would make it look so much more finished.

Now for the 2.2, how high are you revving that motor? They like screaming dont they!

My Easter sucked, relatives I don't care to see, dead salty pig, and hard boiled eggs. I'm moving to Italy.

You might be right. I'm actually playing with different combo's in Photoshop, maybe even some graphics too.

And yeahh the 2,2 goes to 7000 easy. Amazing sound and really pulls hard beyond 5000. Love it!!

Interesting targa, love the unusual color.

I second the motion that RSR matte finished Fuchs would look fantastic on this setup.

It's a lot better in person I think, but still not too bad on photos. But I have the same thoughts as you guys.

I'll try to play a little in PS

I want to come drive it! Under 2000# and 250hp probably feels like a shifter kart.
