There's no such thing a stupid quest- Can I put Flame Throwers on my 911?
So I'm going to pull the motor and do a few things, add a nice exhaust. Has anyone added flamethrowers to their exhaust? I don't mean giant fireball hotrod type stuff, but maybe just welded in a bung with a plug and shot some fireballs during shifting?
Just curious. As long as the exhaust hangs out far enough, anything wrong other than being a general menace and ruining nice neighborhoods? |

Okay, you're messing with us, right? Had a few drinks on the way home and want to have some fun!

Mmmmm not a flame thrower. Just batch injection overrun.

That reminds me of the Car show Fantom Works with Dan Short that took an AC Cobra replica and made it resemble a fighter plane and added machine guns to the front hood. Cute, but no. If you really need a car to shoot flames, there are a ton of little Honda Civics out there that need that modification to go with their fart can exhausts. I know you are just messing with us. Cheers.

If you want to do it, you need to find the people who do it, and ask them.

It can be done with the right tools. |

^ Exactly my thoughts.
On a Porsche all you need to do is add a turbo if you want flames. :D |
|
Yeah, that would be cool, but likely cost me.... like.... minimum... 5-10,000 dollars.
Welding a spark plug bung in the exhaust would cost.... like $100. |

Pretty funny but why not, go ahead and do it!
How will you power the spark plug, and does it need the same juice as one in a cylinder? |
