Window reg axe removal

So to remove the post “title part” up out of the door window slot, I assume I need to remove the spring in the photo. What could possibly go wrong? Doing this to keep this side empty for painting.

Just move the clip in red circle off and pull?

Probably won't come out of the center pivot. It comes out the bottom, not the window slot.

Thanks, will it come out at bottom as is? Or do I need to remove the spring?

Window Reg Removal

You can remove the regulator assembly as is (without removing the spring) through the bottom hole.

Meanwhile it's like a cruel jigsaw puzzle getting it out and back in - you need to slide the rails back and forth on the rollers to get it positioned to remove & re-insert.

Wish I would have taken photo's last time I removed mine, but I'm not sure it would really be all that helpful, in the end noting: be patient and figure it out.

Good luck,

Agreed. Once it is in the right position it comes out rather easily... finding the right position is the challenge.
