Help identifying part

I found this line among some 930 cis parts but I can't figure out what it is for or where it goes. I don't recall seeing a line this on a cis 930. One end has an 8 mm fitting and the other end has a 10 mm fitting. Any ideas? Thanks for looking.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1558109760.jpg

If my memory is correct (and at this stage of life thats a BIG if because i have forgotten more than most people know) that is a fuel line used in conjunction with a pressure damper similar to the ones used on 928,944,3.2 3.6 ect EFI cars. The assy. was plumbed in between the FD and the WUR and again if memory is correct its purpose was to dampen the control pressure changes to the FD

I honestly cant remember where i got the one i have in the picture that i included but i seem to recall it was a porsche motosports part possibly used on the 930 S
I am not 100 % sure about that and there is a possibility it may be a RUF piece, but i can still see it in my minds eye bolted to the air flow sensor housing just to the right of the FD. and hooked up to the WUR

I will try and look for some pics of motors i have built in the past to see if i can shed a little more light on it.

For some reason i keep thinking i had a conversation about that part with
Joe Enselmo not to many years ago, if your really wanting to find out get in touch with him @ Joe Enselmo Motorsports or talk to Bob Holcombe @ MODE i think one of them would remember.

hope this helps to answer your question
Richard

Looks like the injection line to cylinder one or two on turbo.

Pictures can be very deceiving but it looks way to short and the wrong angles to be for bank 1-3 on a turbo.
If it is an injection line which is very possible it looks to me like a R.S bank 4-6 for a later sc

i could not find any pics of the line that i referenced in my first post but did a little research and if you go into PET, look at 1987 911, illustration 107-35, position 36,37, and 39 you will see the damper and lines used on a 911 turbo with engine option M148 with engine designation 930.66 S

I am not sure if that line is the same one the OP is asking about but looks very similar, but after closer look the OP line resembles a later sc injector line.

His comment that he found the line with 930 parts led me to think it was a 930 part which may be incorrect.

Thank you both for the replies. I appreciate it. My 930 has the larger cis fuel lines but I know the later model 930.68 930's had the smaller diameter lines. This line is too short to be used as a fuel distributor to injector line. I don't know much about SC cis but I will look into that.
