2.2 Mahle OR...

Best way to go: 2.2 Mahle piston cylinder or Nickies and JE piston cylinders

Depends. What 2,2 motor? T,E, or S? What displacement do you want to end up with? Do you want to bore the cases/heads for larger cylinders? What is your budget?

You can refinish the cylinders you have. Or have them bored. Or have them bored and plated. You may be able to reuse your old pistons or replace them with JE or others. Or you could install 2,7 P&C. Nickies would be great but $$$$.

In my case I installed 2,7 RS P&Cs and ended up with a sweet running SS2,5.

I have a 66 aluminum case. Really just want more power without enlarging the case and staying in the more or less streetsble reliable running car. Thanks for your input & what a great place in this world you live in!

Lots of choices. Crank can be 66 or 70. Cylinders can be 80mm up to about 86 without boring the case.

Take a look in the 911 Engine Rebuilding Forum and the 911 Used Parts Classifieds. Lots of examples if you search.

You should get Bruce Anderson's 911 Performance hadbook and Wayne's How to rebuild 911 motors for MUCH information. https://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/ksearch/pel_search_2016.cgi?command=DWsearch&LastVisited_input=911M&make=POR&description=911+Technical+Books
