How to remove seats from Ď73 Targa

Iím getting my seats re-upholstered and I need to take them to the upholstery guy.

Only thing is, I canít figure out how these suckers come out. As if that werenít enough, the seat belt is attached to the seat and I canít figure out how that comes off either. Can anyone tell me how to get the seats off the track and how to remove the seat belt?

Iíd sure appreciate some help!

Don’t know much about a 73. I own a 77. On mine the tracks come out with the seat. 4 bolts per seat. You have to slide the seat all the way back to get the front bolts. All the way forward to get the rear bolts.

I own a 1973.5T and the way to remove them is removing the allen head bolts in the front and rear of the sliding seat frame. Move the seat all the way back. What is exposed on the frame attached to the floor are allen head bolts. Remove these first. Slide the seat forward and remove the bolts on the rear of the frame. The whole seat and frame come out together. When you get your seats back from the re upholsterer, you can lightly lubricate the slide mechanism and the spring seat adjustment tensioner. I highly suggest you buy new bolts as well. Very simple removal.....................
