911/75 engine history
I have a 911/75 engine # 6840126 .
Would it be possible to trace what car it originally came from ?? The only thing I know is that the engine was in the Latin Racing RSR that came 5th at Daytona 1985 ? with Valverde and two others . Kind regards ¨ Stein Johnsen |

A quick bit of checking in my records show engines from 6840103 to 6840125 complete with VIN associations. I wonder if 126 was a spare? Will keep on checking. How complete is this engine?

Hey Guys,
have you made any progress regarding the identification of this engine? This number also appears on an engine I have in my possession, I was lead to believe it was a genuine 74 RSR Engine. |

You might contact John Starkey In Florida and see what he has to say, if anything.

Thanks Javadog i will give that a try, do you have contact details for him?
I was talking to a Porsche dealer here in Australia, I have since found out the engine number is from an exported white '74 3.0L Porsche 911 RSR Coupe. We have the complete engine including the RSR V1077 MFI Pump... Fairly interesting... I would love to know where the original body is... |

I would need photos of the engine serial #. 1976 911 as noted above, but possibly on a blank case if there is no type #. You pretty much have to inspect every part to see what the pieces are, and what the sum of the parts were supposed to be. Interesting heads.

I am in process of approving 3.2L engine *63F03752* since the MOT rules in Norway have stricken. The engine is in 1975 911S trga (converted to cab) imported to Norway form US in the 1998. Is there any way to find the engine origin??? regards, Vice |

75 engine
hi
i think you are asking how to find the motor for your car or one that is in the range post on wanted to buy on the classified here. To get your actual engine number that came with the car you need to get a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) from Porsche. that would list the vehicle id and what engine and transmission came with the car. see the attached for the range of engines with your vehicle https://web.archive.org/web/20170920133646/http://www.elferhelfer.de/fz-ident.html

The engine is a type number 930.20, originally fit into an 85 911 Carrera 3.2. There’s probably no way to determine what country the engine was first used in, it’s considered an ROW engine, so it could be anywhere in Europe.
