How To Measure Fuel Pressure 1983 SC 3.0 With Webers
Hi,
I have a 1983 3.0SC with weber carbs. I want to check the fuel pressure but sure quite how to do this. Can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks. |

The best thing to do , is to go to the PMO website and purchase the fuel pressure regulator that they sell. It is a regulated return and that is vital . Fuel pressure for webers wants to be less than 2.5 psi

Can check the static pressure by temporarily connecting a fuel pressure gauge to the end of the source line. If using the factory CIS fuel pump, as icarp suggested, it must be pressure-regulated with the factory FP return line to the tank. The suggested FP to the carbs includes all line restrictions including filters, hose connections/adapters and/or shut-off valves.

HI - I have a fuel pressure regulator already attached but just wanted to check it was delivering as expected as it was fitted by PO.

A number of guys keep a pressure gauge installed all the time. The stock pump and lines with the correct regulator will work fine.
I am running an aftermarket, Facet, pump. I recently checked my pressure.
