How to remove side view mirror controller??
 
I am in the process of removing the drivers door panel and not sure how to remove the controller.
I am seeing two small holes that are holding the controller/switch to the door cap.
Does this piece need to be unscrewed by using the two holes?

1st, you need to specify what year of your 911 it is and next is picture of the item you need help with...

On mine (MY1985) I use a circlip plier to unscrew the top using the two holes.

This or a homemade version as I did. DO NOT lose the threaded retaining nut (NLA as far as I could tell).
