Engine Shroud for 3.6 with 2.4L Fan Housing
Folks,
I have a 3.6 engine that has a 2.4L fan and fan housing. I am using the 3.6 shroud which leaves some space between the smaller 2.4L fan housing and the shroud. I fill that with some rubber material. It works fine, but I am looking for an engine shroud that will fit the 3-bolt pattern of 3.6 heads and the smaller 2.4L fan housing. Anyone seen something like this? Thanks!

Contact Damon at Series900. That’s where I get mine

Might want to check with Rothsport, JB Racing and Sheridan Motorsports as well.

If you're looking for the "look" of an early fan to go with you 3.6 cooling shroud, the correct but expensive solution is to use the 964-993 turbo fan/housing. It's all bolt on but not inexpensive...even 2nd hand is pricey.

Winders:
Forgot to mention... we might be able to use your spare 3.6 shroud to fab something up in carbon fiber. Would depend on your desired "look."

I think I am just going to stick with the 3.6 shroud as I heard back from Damon. What I need from Damon will cost over $600.

Nothing like a proper well fit new engine shroud to finish a build.
Literally icing on the cake |

I think this looks tidy:
Imagine that with ITBs instead of the stock 993 injection setup.

Looks fine to me! Nice job dressing the ignition wires.
I have some extra weather stripping if/when the time comes. As you know, that induction set up isn't exactly stock... I bet that 3.6 will make a fine lump for some hot rodder out there if/when you decide to sell it.

Without the need for outside air into the distributor as in the stock set up, what does the portion of the fan shroud that provided the air to the distributor do now on your set up???

You should remember that when the 964 was first introduced, there was no air feed to the distributor. That came later when Porsche found out that ozone was killing the belts and causing failures.
That big opening in the fan shroud to the left fed another piece of plastic that feed the passenger heater system. The race car setup has that big opening blocked off. When I ran the old 964 twin plug distributor, there was a fresh air take off in the main shroud near the distributor. I blocked that off when installed the JB Racing twin plug distributor.
