There ya go applying logic to an illogical situation. I had CIS in my middie, after proper setup, it ran like a new car. You will need fuel pressure gauge set, a CO meter, and a basic understanding of the system. If you are chasing horsepower, this is not the system, if you just want a clean running, tractable car that will scoot up a twisty road, or get groceries, a well sorted CIS system will do the trick. Carburetors are solid 1930s tech.
