Did I receive the correct torsion bars?
I received my new torsion bars on Friday. I ordered Weltmeister and expected to see that labeled on the bar. However, they have Sway-a-Away PowerBar2 on them.
They are however hollow. The description on this site for Sway-a-Way is a "solid bar" and for Weltmeister is "hollow". |
I contacted Sway-Away with some questions on a set of used adjustable spring plates with their name on them. An employee notified me that the spring plate line was sold to Weltmeister. I wouldn't doubt that Weltmeister bought the Sway-Away torsion bar line as well. Max

Thanks. I bet that's the answer. I'm starting to work on them now and didn't want to install the wrong ones. Since they are hollow, they most likely are the Weltmeister's. It seems strange however if Weltmeister bought Sway-a-way, they would change the name on their own torsion bars. Maybe I'd better wait until Monday and talk to customer service.

Weltmeister sources lots of stuff from other manufacturers. Sometimes they private label it, sometimes not.
