Park brake light switch

OK...My park brake give no light when applied.I removed the park brake light switch and found the contact bow who give ground to the switch to power the light broken.Question is...how to remove the park brake handle from the floor bracket so I can re-install the two bow holding rivets and the contact bow.If anybody has already done that job before your advice will be very welcome...Thank you...Syl
