Can't figure out light behind shifter
I recently picked up an '87 and I came across this bulb between the shifter console and the parking brake. I'm assuming it's missing a cover but for the life of me can't figure out what this is for. I checked the manual and didn't find anything about this. Does anyone know what this is for and where I might find a replacement cover for it?

Can't figure out light behind shifter
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...5b0ecf0fd3.jpgIt’s the defrost on/off light when you lift the heat lever.

The cover has fallen off and is likely under the seat or somewhere on the floor. When working properly (prolly need a new bulb) it lights up when you pull the heater levers up to activate the fan back on top of the motor. If you need one, I believe I've seen the cover in the Pelican catalog.

It's nice to see an '87 with sport seats. Good score. Tell us more about the car :)

Interesting. My 1973 has this light as well. It turns on when you turn on the parking lights/headlamps. Wonder when they make the change.
