Wanted to show you my new baby

Last week a friend of mine and the board happened across a serious deal. I just happened to be saving for an RSK Spyder kit, and James came across a 1970 911T with a newly rebuilt 1974 non S 2.7 liter in it. The guy selling was getting a divorice and the price was right, so I jumped. Now I am a early car 911 first time owner. Don't have many pics yet, want to work on it a little before I take the "glamor shots" but here is one to lok at. It's a good sound car, and I think I'm going to really enjoy it. I'm alway open to sugestions, especially from the wise people on this board, so I'm sure I'll be picking your brains.

$4400. Brand new leather interior, newly rebult engine. Needs new paint, new tires and a littel tranny work, other than that it is a solid car.

Cool color, good luck. I also like the 6 series Beemer next to your "new" car.

Didn't get a chance to look at the Beemer, but everyone I show the picture to mentions that too.

Spydie, I almost bought that car!!!!!!! I was a day away from selling my motorcycle if the lady of the house wouldn't let me buy it with my other funds. It was unfortunate for the seller, but man did you get a good deal!!!

Looks like a nice ride! Essentially you have the HP of the “E” but w/better torque. If you haven’t already, get the car on a lift & check the bottom suspension points for rust. Change all the fluids, trans motor & brakes. Then drive the heck out of the car & enjoy! Take it easy for a while, get used to what you have before deciding on making changes. I like the early cars best of all. Don’t forget to register your car on 911T.org (ours is the white ’71 Targa, FLITZR). I have a ‘77 S motor for it if I ever get the chance to swap it in.

Wow - $4400. You can't even buy 914s for that anymore. Seems like you got a great deal. Wish I'd seen it first!

Souk:
I knew it was going to go quick, so I went up there and bought it the day the ad posted. He said he had like fifteen people that wanted it, but I was only 60 miles away.

I've always liked the looks of the early cars, but never had the money to put towards a nice one. Thus for the past year or so I've been saving for the kit car, and soaking in all the knowledge of the pelican board. When I saw the price I thought their had to be a catch, but so far so good. It's not a perfect car, needs some TLC, but no major things to soak up major funds....at least not yet.
