915 Alternative
There are a few high end kit cars out there that utilize 915's, Renault, Audi and ZF transaxles bolted to Chevy and Ford motors. GT-40's and Ultimas are two examples.
I am not advocating replacing the Porsche engine at all. Are there modern transaxles, NSX comes to mind, that can handle a fair amount of torque and have a better shift feel than a 915 that could be adapted to our cars. I would think not, otherwise we would have heard about it? I know there are options like Quaffe but they are rather pricey. Thoughts? Scott
