Had an A/C leak
 

My 95 993 leaked a lot of a/c fluid along passenger side (under car). I don't know a lot about this system, but I'd like to learn. Is there piping in the inner rocker panel?
I'm guessing something has come undone along there.

I had just gotten a reboot last week and the A/C was working just fine, but now I doubt that it is.

Any help from anyone would be great. BTW I can't seem to find exactly where the leak came from as I moved the car before I noticed, but I'd guess about mid rocker panel.

If you are seeing oil it might be from the ac. Not much oil is in there. If it is water, it is condensation from a plugged drain.

Usually the ac oil leaks at the compressor or a condenser or hose, not inside the car.

What do you call AC fluid? The only fluids in AC systems are evaporator condensate (aka cold water) and lubricant oil (frequently fluorescent green if dye was added during last fill)

"Under passenger side" - this covers 50% of the vehicle.

"I doubt that it is" - the first thing to do is check if it is working.

"Is there piping in the inner rocker panel?" - yes, for engine oil and ac lines

What was on the floor, about mid passenger door, a little ways inward was a bright greenish yellowish fluid. Maybe a half cup.

It's so cold and rainy up here right now that I can't tell whether it's AC or just
outside cold air. We're only about 300 yds from the north pole. Feels like it, anyway.

Sounds like AC tracer dye to me. AC hard line probably pin holed.

Yes you have a leak in you AC line and the oil has leaked out. It shouldn't run anymore if you switch it on as there is no gas left.

Found where the leak is coming from, wasn't along either side, but in middle just back of the front wheels. Actually there is an exit opening there under a small plastic panel, where water drips out from the A/C but mine drips water and refridgerant.

So, I didn't remove the plastic panel as I wasn't on a proper lift, what should I expect to find under that panel that would be causing the refridgerant (greenish yellow) puddle.

The refrigerant is a gas so it can’t puddle. It has gone into the atmosphere.

The puddle is the lubrication for the compressor.

It sounds as if your leak is near the evaporator. Basic plan of attack is to find the leak source. See if there is any other damage/issues. Replace receiver/drier. Recharge the system. If you’re unfamiliar with A/C you probably need a pro.
