In case anybody knows how to remove the carpet covering the floor board behind the pedals in the toe box of my 1970 911, I would be happy to get your information. I need to perform some maintenace to the pedal box and have trouble taking this piece of carpet out. It seems just not to be removable. I did detach the accelerator pedal but the carpet won't slide through the holes for the brake and clutch pedal.
Thanks! PT |

If you remove the gas pedal it will be alot easier to fish the carpet past the brake and clutch pedals.

Hello
The carpet is hocked up at the holder where the lashes go trough. You just use the holder as hinges and swing up the carpet and it will move out easily. Only problem is you have to fiddle trough the pedals. This can be made very elegant buy pressing the clutch pedal and fiddeling it troug and then following with the brake pedal. Hard to explain but doinig it more then once you will find out. Grüsse |

Can't help being impressed by the care and design thought put into something as simple as the pedal board carpet. No wonder maintenance costs extra in these, given the time needed to strap and unstrap the lashes while squeezing your upper torso into space designed for your lower ! |

If you take off the rubber pads from the peddles it is also a lot easier...
