Simple Spare Jack Question

When I purchased my car, an 85 930, it didn’t come with a factory jack. So I picked up a new tire jack and attempted to put it in the car today. What looks like a simple install turned into a rather confusing event. I don’t have any pictures of how the jack installs so I could really use some help. I know the large end goes to the left of the front trunk when the hood is open and you are looking down. Then to the right I see a metal hoop of sorts sticking out where I though the other part of the jack went. Is this hoop supposed to have some sort of strap that I need? If so, does anyone know the factory part number? If someone could take a quick picture, that would be more helpful.

Are there any photos in the owner's manual? Mine just wedges in next to the spare -- but I have a '73.

Here's a pic from my SC. There is a rubber strap that attaches both under and above the small bracket and holds the jack stable. I already had this picture when someone was looking for what the felt strip looked like that cushions the jack mount.

OK guys, that's a big help. So it does appear to have factory straps that hold it in. Does anyone know the factory part number for the straps?

Head to your local Porsche dealership where they have all of the sub-assemblies broken down into individual parts on their computers complete with part availability and location. They could tell you if the part is in North America or if it is in stock in Germany.
I was amazed to see that you can source out many of the decals and labels applied to the interior surfaces of P-cars when I had my car restored recently.

IMHO factory jacks are to be displayed for concours. Carry a scissors jack for actual use on a road trip.
