think you'd need/want to run 205/55-16 all the way around (this is the widest that will fit up front with 7" fuchs) -- same size (at least up front) as a 78-89 sc/carrera (so you can see height on other cars) -- by too thin, presume you mean too short (sidewall height vs tread width).

I want the tyres to look wide ,I’ve seen 911s where the tyres look thin ,I also don’t want the car to look as if it’s sitting to high
Thanks Brian |

As noted above, for 16" wheels the size would be 205/55-16 to get the stock diameter and the speedo to read correctly. I use Continental ExtremeContact Sports on my 1973 (same body style).
Current street setup of 205/55-16 on 16x6 Fuchs and lowered. ![]() Because of how lowered my car is, I needed to roll the fenders and install Turbo Torsion Bars. If you go with a more "normal" ride height, I doubt these changes would be needed.

I choosed 195-65-15 instead of the standard period correct 185-70-15.
Previously I had 205-60-15 front and rear but I didn't liked 'em because I have lost in handling... The car felt like an elephant on tight curves. |
